The “Refreshed” 2013 GMC Acadia Revealed

The 2013 GMC Acadia struts it’s stuff at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show.

Just this last weekend General motors unveiled their refreshed 2013 GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show.  The big talk about the 2013 SUV is the redo on the front valance, and GM also added more detailing to the headlights and interior materials to complete the front end.

The ’13 Acadia has a slightly more vertical nose in between two new diffused LED day time lights and HID headlights.  The back end of the Acadia now rocks wrap-around glass and a redesigned spoiler.

GM also kicked it up a notch by adding French stitching and ambient red lighting.

Davis’ Lube Oil Filter Day

Davis GMC BuickEvery year we run our Davis “Free” Lube Oil Filter Day! With a minimum donation of $45 you can stop in at Davis and get a lube, oil, filter for $45 – However we are able to issue a tax receipt!

Every year is a success and we are please to be apart of something so special.  All proceeds from our Lube, Oil, Filter Day go to Lethbridge Food Bank and Lethbridge Interfaith Food Bank!

This year we raised $4,035!! – It’s the holiday season when most reach out to help other! Raising money for food banks at this time of season is important because we all know how the winter cold and holiday season can make it difficult to stretch your dollar.

Thank you to all who participated, from being a customer, to employees that had to help out with the large amount of traffic we created!

I found this article today while I was looking for cool stuff to share with our blog followers.  By the looks of things Buick will be bringing out a compact car named the Buick Verano.

Following the launch of the Regal, Buick will be introducing its next all-new model sometime in 2011. Set to launch as a 2012 model, the Verano compact will slot in beneath the Regal sedan, though we’ve been told on several occasions that it will not share a platform with General Motors’ other new small car, the Chevrolet Cruze.

According to the infomongers at GM Inside News, the automaker recent sent a letter to its Buick dealers inviting them to participate in an order study in an attempt to gain knowledge about what pricing and trim levels would be most attractive to potential buyers. The details, available after the jump, reveal that the Verano will be powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four (same as the Regal) that produces 180 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and will be initially offered in four trim levels.

If the letter is to be believed, the base Verano 1SB (the alphanumeric likely being an internal designation) is estimated to start at $20,900. From there, the 1SD model adds Bluetooth, automatic climate control and remote start, and will be priced from around $22,100. 1SG models add a power driver’s seat, heated mirrors and rear park assist and should command roughly $23,300. Top-trim 1SL Veranos will have heated leather seats, premium audio, a heated steering wheel and 18-inch wheels. Expect the top-rung 1SL to retail for around $25,600, with pricing reaching as high as $26,200.

We don’t expect GM to reveal official Verano specifications and pricing until closer to its launch date, with the car being officially debuting sometime in the early 2011 auto show season. Top tip, Ed!

*Update: GM contacted us to clarify that it both the Buick Verano and Chevy Cruze will be built on the same Delta II platform, but won’t share any sheetmetal.

Good morning bloggers!

Well, I had another chance to check out another Certified used vehicle.

This time she was a 2007 GMC Yukon XL, with the 5.3 l active fuel management engine in her.  This baby has the ability to drop down and use only 4 out of 8 cylinders when able…determined by torque requirements or so they tell me….anyway a pretty cool technological advantage / ability that SAVES me money!

Seating for Everyone + More.

It was a big beast, being the XL…comfortable seating for 8…..now I know why my farmers and my Hutterite customers love them.  We packed the whole family with my wife Dana, and my 3 kids, AND 2 of their friends….and we still had one seat left…and room for some hockey bags in the back!

Feel like watching a movie?

The first thing that I noticed on her is that she is absolutely fully loaded Yukon (unlike my Vibe….which could also fit in the back of this puppy), including navigation, heated leather seating that my kids really love, and a sunroof that we had open for the entire ride – taking advantage of this beautiful weather we have been having in Southern Alberta.

When I put her into gear for the first time, I noticed that she was a very ‘tight’ feeling machine, there was NO slop at all in the ignition or the gear shifting.  For just under 100,000 KM’s, this tells me she was taken care of very well, or driven many highway miles versus in-town driving.

She has a white exterior that can hold a lot of dirt and still not look all that bad, and she can be dressed up quickly by adding a stripe package from any of our friendly custom vehicle shop.

Optimized and Reliable and Smells Great.

The ball joints were replaced, as well as several other minor mechanical issues during the Certifiedprocess, and she drove without any vibration at all and now qualifies for an extended services contract to bring peace of mind in ownership.

She smells and looks like new, and I would recommend this beauty to any of my valued customers.
