We have big efforts to change the way you think of the car the auto industry. Here is one of them: Real reviews, from real people.

Online reviews are becoming more and more popular. Reviews are a way of sharing your experience with: friends, family… even the world.  Apps like Google Maps and Yelp, make it increasingly easier to tell businesses about your experience and sharing your story to the masses.

Sales or service we want to make sure you were completely satisfied with your visit before leaving the store.  Today, people rely on reviews to help make decision on, what to buy, where to travel and where to sleep.  At Davis GM we want to know how we did. One, it lets us know how we did and two – It shares real stories from real people.

Lethbridge College Receives $1-mill from the LADA

Davis GMC Buick is proud to be one of the many members of the Lethbridge and District Auto Dealers Association (LADA) who recently contributed $1-million dollars to Lethbridge College.  The money donated to LC is going towards a new trades-and-technology building as well as improvements to its existing buildings!

With our donation and the help of the other 14 LADA members the trades program will now be able to accommodate approximately 2300 students where they are currently only able to support 1000.

The moneys from the LADA will be partially matched by Alberta’s Access to the Future Fund.  With the donations from the LADA and the Access to the Future Fund this will keep the LC Trades program up-to-date continuing to keep the Lethbridge College Trades program relevant!

We cannot wait to see this new facility!

Starbucks Gift Card Winner!

Today we made a fairly simply riddle for those who follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

Yes – The blind man looking for a saw simply had to ask. haha cant believe it was that easy.  The winner of the Starbucks gift card, Facebook contest is Jenn Schmidt-Rempel.

It was pretty close to be honest – The winner had to not only answer on our Facebook wall but also send me an email with the subject “I Did it”.  Jenn’s email was sent to me and had won by approximately 25 seconds!!!!! Congrats Jenn!

Jenn come in to Davis GMC Buick and ask reception for your prize! If you did not win, don’t Fret! Jenn has 3 business days starting tomorrow to come in and pick up the prize. If she does not – Well we will do another riddle. haha only more difficult  this time.

A man who can not speak walks into a hardware store looking for a hammer. He walks to an employee and motions as if he were hammering a nail followed by shrugging his shoulders.  Another man who is blind walks into the hardware store looking for a saw. Without touching the saw how does he explain to the cashier he wants to purchase a saw?

Tim Hortons Gift-Card Giveaway | Davis GMC Buick

Last week I put an image up of our 1000 fans iPad give-away.  Mentioned under that post was that you could be entered in a Tim Hortons gift card. Hope you got in on time….I even left er open until Monday!

I am pleased to announce that Tim M. Cherniwchan is a winner of a $25 Tim Hortons gift card.  Its really too bad we didnt give this away while Roll Up the Rim was still going. I feel that Tim would have shared some of his earnings with me!

Cheesecake Cafe Gift Card Winner!

The folks over at The Cheesecake Cafe were so kind to bring us over a $60 gift card to give to one our 500 fans on our Facebook page!

To be entered into the draw you had to check out their website at http://www.cheesecakecafe.ca/lethbridge/ . Possible winners went to their website and found their cheesecake flavor of the month, their running special, phone number address etc.

We had a pretty decent amount of feedback. We could tell people really like cheesecake!

The Keg Steakhouse Give-Away!

The last two weeks of April our Davis GMC Buick Facebook page had a contest asking people to submit their favorite April Fools Joke.  We gave our fans a little bit of control whether they won or not.  Fans submitted their April Fools Day joke and could get their friends to vote on it.  The person with the most “likes” won!

Here are some of my favorites!

“Put kool aid powder in the mechanics work gloves . Your choice for color . A little bit is all you need but your hands sweat inside the gloves turning them a nice bright color.”

Sherry Malley:

“My Dad Smeared Peanut butter on the back of the seat of the toilet in the office bathroom, Everyone was trying all morning to guess who it was. At noon, My dad went in there (He had bleached the toilet down first) And everyone followed cause he is a clean freak. And he went in the stall, And said Who the heck ………….. Then swipped his finger in the top of it. Put in up to his nose, And said Smells like Jake. The tasted it. And said yup, Jake. Everyone started gagging. Those who knew what he was doing were dying laughing.”

Susan Eyman:

” When I first moved to Lethbridge the Herald used to publish an April Fool’s article each year. Each year they were awesome and fooled 1/2 the town. West Lethbridge splitting and becoming it’s own City; billboard ad sales on the High Level bridge. I hear the City phones rang off the hook with freaked out citizens.”

Davis GMC Buick’s $25 Gift Card Winner!!!

At 4:30pm today our GM and “qualified name puller- outer” Mike Davis selected one winner from the 45 people who wanted to win a $25 Tim Hortons Gift-Card.

I am ever so pleased to announce that Mr. Jordan Karst – Whom I like to refer as J-Town is our 1st gift card give-away winner.

Jordan Karst not only “Likes” us on Facebook but also follows us on Twitter.  I have enjoyed interacting with him on Twitter – I think he is a pretty “cool cat” and have asked him personally if I may refer to him has J-Town.  He did not question that name one little bit!

Davis Pontiac Changes Name! Introducing Davis GMC Buick of Lethbridge

Davis Pontiac Lethbridge, Now Named Davis GMC BuickI wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that Davis Pontiac in Lethbridge Alberta has since changed its name to Davis GMC Buick. We have enjoyed bringing you the new Pontiac lineups for years, but all good things must come to an end.

With Pontiac no longer running for new car glory, Davis, along with so many Pontiac dealers around the world had to change their name. We at Davis GMC Buick took this opportunity as a positive rather than a negative. We’ve changed our name, changed our site – increase visibility and now we are excited to bring you the 2011 GMC and Buick Lineups.

We at Davis Pontiac, now Davis GMC Buick can focus on our GMC Truck customers as well as our Buick Customers – Two very different types of customers look for these vehicles and with Pontiac no longer around we now get to deal with the two extremes; Luxury and Heavy Duty. Strange isn’t it – but we wouldn’t want it any other way.
